New Mexico is kicking off the statewide (BEAD) and Digital Equity (DE) planning process
with Connect New Mexico Month and the Broadband Spring Sprint! On February 15, 2023, during New Mexico Broadband Day at the Roundhouse, Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham announced the official Executive Office Proclamation declaring March as "Connect New Mexico Month." The New Mexico Office of Broadband Access & Expansion (OBAE) is launching the statewide initiative to develop the New Mexico Broadband Expansion, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) Plan and the New Mexico Digital Equity Plan during "Connect New Mexico Month." Spring Sprint Over the next few months, community members are invited to participate in a wide range of activities and events including six Regional Meetings, a Network Operators' Conference, Virtual Broadband Listening Sessions, a Statewide Summit, two Broadband Bootcamps, and a series of interviews, focus groups, town halls, workshops, and webinars.
