On February 15, 2023, during New Mexico Broadband Day at the Roundhouse, Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham announced the official Executive Office Proclamation declaring March as "Connect New Mexico Month."

Connect New Mexico Month
The New Mexico Office of Broadband Access & Expansion (OBAE) is launching the statewide initiative to develop the New Mexico Broadband Expansion, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) Plan and the New Mexico Digital Equity Plan during "Connect New Mexico Month." Check out the Map Challenge and sign up for the OBAE Mailing List for information and updates on how you can get involved AND to track announcements of the Wave Two New Mexico Pilot Grant Awards and Award ceremonies. Spring Sprint
Over the next few months, community members are invited to participate in a wide range of activities and events including six Regional Meetings, a Network Operators' Conference,  Virtual Broadband Listening Sessions, a Statewide Summit, two Broadband Bootcamps, and a series of interviews, focus groups, town halls, workshops, and webinars.
